Some effects of inanition on animal behavior.

Abstract
In this review the authors have touched upon the following topics: the effects of inanition on growth and development; avoidance of inanition through choice of an adequate rather than an inadequate diet; perversions of appetite; effects of inanition on spontaneous activity; reduction of drive through acute inanition; changes in behavior associated with thereproduetivefunctionsresulting from inanition; and effects of inanition on learning. For the most part the article reflects the interest of the student of animal behavior, rather than that of the morphologist or physiologist.
