Abstract
The virus of Shope''s fibroma of cottontail rabbits was successfully passed intracerebrally to one-day-old mice as demonstrated by subsequent infection of domestic rabbits by intracutaneous inoculation of mouse brain suspensions. The virus can persist in the brain of the living mouse at least a month. Three successful serial passages through mice, despite a 250-fold dilution at each passage, indicate the possibility of virus proliferation. Keywords
