Abstract
Each of the 3 amino acids of which glutathione is composed favored the growth of the hydroid Obelia geniculata. Cysteine accelerated cell proliferation; glycine favored regeneration of new hydranths from broken pedicels; glutamic acid favored differentiation and consequent organization.
