Abstract
The rise in temperature which sometimes accompanies the intravenous administration of amino acids was found to be caused equally by casein hydrolysate and a crystalline amino acid mixture. Positive nitrogen balances of the same degree were obtained by intravenous administration of similar amounts of a crystalline amino acid mixture and casein hydrolysate. Keywords
