Abstract
A review of the subject indicates that there is still nothing approaching unanimity of opinion on the effectiveness of those agents, notably insulin, pyruvate and alanine, which in the hands of the majority of workers have been shown to have an accelerating action on alcohol metabolism. Nor has the final answer been arrived at regarding the effect of dosage on the rate of alcohol metabolism. It is hoped that interest may be stimulated in research leading to an early soln. of these concrete problems. Keywords
