Abstract
Ascorbic acid was detd. in saliva by the colorimetric method of Roe and Keuther. The avg. value for 31 noncarious individuals was 0.21 mg. % and for 54 individuals with caries, 0.17 mg. %. The difference is not statistically significant. No correlation was found between ascorbic acid content and age, or the number of carious surfaces.
