Abstract
The total photoabsorption cross section of NO has been measured to an accuracy of +or-3% as a function of wavelength in the 380-660 AA range. Discrete structure due to preionization of a 2s sigma * electron excited to neutral nd pi and np pi , np sigma orbitals is well resolved. Keywords
