Origin of Cosmic Electrons from About102to106GeV

Abstract
The origin of high-energy cosmic electrons is considered. It is found that electrons of energies 103 GeV could have been produced by local supernovae associated with known radio remnants. At higher energies, observations of muon-poor air showers indicate the existence of electrons at 106 GeV which may have originated entirely from the supernova Vela X.
