Abstract
The influence of light stimulation on the ribonucleic acid content of the retina of the rabbit and a comparison of the composition of the nucleic acid fraction of the retina to other tissues were studied. The eyes were enucleated immediately after death of the animal. Desoxy-ribonucleic acid and ribonucleic acid fractions were detd. The ratio of desoxyribonucleic acid in mammalian retinas is reversed in comparison with that in grey matter and other tissues. Light stimulation had no influence on the content in ribonucleic acid. Keywords
