Chromosome Studies in Dogs with Congenital Cardiac Defects

Abstract
Chromosome analyses were made on 15 dogs with congenital cardiac defects. Abnormalities were observed in tissues from 2 dogs. One dog, which had other anatomical malformations in addition to the cardiac defects, had 77 chromosomes with an apparent centric fusion between two autosomes. The other dog had 79 chromosomes including a minute.
