Sequence Homology Studies between the Double-Stranded RNA Genomes of Cytoplasmic Polyhedrosis Virus, Wound Tumor Virus, and Reovirus Strains 1, 2 and 3

Abstract
RNA-RNA reannealing studies in conjunction with analysis of the reannealed RNA duplexes by hydroxylapatite thermal chromatography revealed no detectable sequence homology among the double-stranded RNA genomes of cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus, wound tumor virus and reovirus type 3. Although the sequences of reovirus types 2 and 3 also appear to have little in common, the genomes of reovirus types 1 and 3 share extensive, though imperfect, homologies.
