Abstract
The 1st recognition of 2,6,10,15-19-pentamethyleicosane, a known component of methanogenic bacteria in marine sediments, is reported. This compound and certain other acyclic isoprenoids may possibly be used as biological markers for methogens.This publication has 26 references indexed in Scilit:
