Abstract
A trichophytin prepd. according to the method of Bloch, Labouchere and Schaaf, but started from cultures on synthetic medium, obtained when treating the first with amylic alcohol in a chloroform soln. according to Sevag (method of deproteinisation), and a trichophytin obtained by eliminating from the former all substances easily dialysable, all gave reactions of the tuberculin type as well as urticarial reactions. The first 2 were equally examined via the Schultz-Dale expt. and showed specific contractions of the uterus of the sensitized guinea-pig. It was verified through Schultz-Dale expts. that the Sevag method eliminated one or several antigens. This fact could not be proved in the Prausnitz-Kustner expt. Keywords
