Abstract
Tables are given recording the excretion of urinary and fecal N, Ca and P and the urinary N partition in fasting cows, goats and sheep. The preformed creatinine tended to diminish slightly during the fast, whereas the creatine rose markedly. The output of uric acid and allantoin declined, that of purin bases rose, and the uric acid of the blood showed a definite increase. Even in a 12 day fast there was apparently no catabolism of osseous tissue. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
