Investigations of Suint. I. The Composition of the Organic Acids from Fleeces of Different Origin

Abstract
A major part of the organic acids of the suint from each of seven samples of wool fleece of different origin has been examined by gas chromatography of the methyl esters. Twenty-three acids have been identified in one or more of the samples by the retention times of the esters. The composition of all samples was complex and differed considerably both quantitatively and qualitatively.
