Approach to ideal-gas behavior in dense classical fluids

Abstract
For a classical fluid of hard spheres we calculate for large wave numbers the leading correction to the ideal-gas behavior of the incoherent dynamic structure factor. The theoretical prediction agrees with results from neutron scattering experiments on dense hydrogen and sodium.Keywords
