Abstract
Magnetization and Meissner effect measurements of the high T c superconductor Ba0.6Y0.4CuO3-y , with the (Ba x Y1-x )6Cu6O14 structure and a sharp resistive transition at 90 K, are reported. Diamagnetic susceptibility was observed below 90 K, indicating a bulk superconductivity. The magnetization measurement revealed a characteristic feature of a type-II superconductor with H c1(0)=1∼2 kOe and strong pinning. Keywords
