Identity Satisfied by the Racah Coefficients of U(n)

Abstract
The origin of a well‐known relation satisfied by the Racah coefficients of SU(2) is demonstrated to be the associative law of multiplication of the Wigner operators of SU(2). Recognition of this simple fact allows the immediate generalization of this identity to the Racah coefficients of U(n).Keywords
