Abstract
An organism provisionally classified as a microtatobiote, order of rickettsiales, family of bartonellaceae, was isolated from two patients with hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS) and from another with thrombotic-thrombocytopenic purpura. The same organism was recovered from mites collected in the bedroom of one of the children with HUS.Keywords
