Temperature Gradients, Resonance, and the Interchange Instability

Abstract
Temperature gradients and wave‐guiding center resonance modify the usual finite gyroradius stabilization criteria and growth rate for the interchange instability in a collisionless low‐β plasma. The growth rate is given for a few examples.
