Measurement of the Radiative Width of the 6+, 8.79 MeV Level of 20Ne

Abstract
Using the 4He(16O, γ)20Ne reaction, ωγ = 1.42 ± 0.17 eV was obtained for the 6+, 8.79 MeV level of 20Ne. The experimental E2 transition probabilities in the ground state band of 20Ne favor a microscopic model over a simple rotational description.
