Abstract
A study of the morphology of Scenedesmus obliquus, as affected by various media, was initiated. Coenobium formation was favored with the addition of 0.1% glucose to the medium, whereas the addition of 1.5% yeast extract resulted in production of unicells. Dactylococcus stages were produced in the absence of an organic substrate. There appeared to be no correlation between cell morphology and growth rate.
