PROBLEMS IN QUANTITATING RENAL ENZYMES

Abstract
Histochemical assay methods for renal dehydrogenase present both biochemical and morphological problems. In each case practical solutions for these problems have been found. By a combination of simple procedures it is possible to derive an estimate of succinic dehydrogenase activity of the major reactive histological components of the kidney. The general approach should be useful in the future study of the response of renal dehydrogenase to experimental procedures.
