Abstract
A computer algorithm employing fading-memory system identification and linear discriminant analysis is proposed for real-time detection of human shifts of attention in a control and monitoring situation. Experimental results are presented that validate the usefulness of the method. Application of the method to computer-aided decisionmaking in multitask situations is discussed. Keywords
