Abstract
This study was designed to verify the importance of toxigenic Escherichia coli and other etiologic agents in diarrhea of travelers. In particular, we sought data to compare the relative importance of enteric pathogens in persons from different geographic locations exposed to a common environment where diarrhea could be anticipated.
