Abstract
The homologous polypeptides in yeast and beef heart cytochrome c oxidase have been identified by sequence comparisons and structural similarities. The properties of individual polypeptides have been used to specify which components are extrinsic, and which intrinsic and bilayer spanning, in the cytochrome c oxidase complex.Keywords
