Abstract
The effect of histamine upon capillary permeability in the skin and muscle of normal and adrenalectomized rats was studied. The skin capillaries of adrenalectomized rats were not hypersensitive to histamine capillary permeability activity, nor was the action of histamine in skin increased more than. 1.5 times. Histamine (and xylol), however, was without effect upon capillary permeability in the gastroc-nemius muscles of normal and adrenalectomized rats. The relationship of these findings to the question of the hyper-sensitivity of adrenalectomized rats to histamine was discussed. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
