Abstract
A simple molecular field theory of the spin glass phase is presented using only conventional methods to make the approximations and philosophy transparent. Using a heisenberg model with random exchange constants one finds an ordering temperature proportional to the root mean square exchange and a cusp in the susceptibility at that temperature. These results are in accord with experiment. Keywords
