Nineteen hospital patients were given 1 gm. of mixed tocopherols orally, every day for two weeks. Tocopherol levels in plasma and adipose tissue were determined at the start and immediately after the last supplement was taken. Average plasma tocopherol levels increased from 3.7 to 11.3 µg. per ml. and adipose tocopherol levels increased from 52 to 119 µg. per gm.Keywords
