Abstract
Nd3+ and Er3+ ions are doubly doped in the core part of a single‐mode silica fiber. By end‐pumping with an Ar ion laser at 514 nm, multiwavelength laser oscillations at 0.908, 0.932, 1.08, and 1.552 μm have been successfully achieved in the 1.5‐m‐long fiber with an adsorbed pump power of 70 mW.Keywords
