The variation of infectivity under a variety of hypotheses is considered. Applying 3 symmetrical curves (the probability curve, the symmetrical form of Pearson''s Type IV and a derivative of the growth curve) to an actual epidemic it is shown how infectivity would vary if the curves were to hold for the actual epidemic.
