Abstract
Only N-alkylated roducts were obtained by reacting functionalized halides with methyl indole-Zcarboxylate using potassium carbonate in acetonitrile or sodium hydride in dimethylformamide. Ethyl acrylate also gave rise to N-alkylation.Keywords
