Abstract
After examination with the light microscope, cytological prepns. of bacteria on coverslips were flooded with 0.4% collodion in amyl acetate. After drying, the edges of the films were scraped so that they could be stripped from the glass onto a water surface and mounted on grids for electron microscopy. The fixed cells were attached to the film and were removed almost quantitatively with little replica formation. Keywords
