Abstract
The rate of putrefaction of salivary proteins under the influence of 17 organisms, isolated from the mouth and under varying conditions, was studied. Practically all of the organisms studied may play some role in the putrefaction of salivary proteins, and no single type of organism was capable of producing putrefaction as rapidly as the mixtures that are normally present in the mouth.Keywords
