Sensitive Pyrometer with High Relative Reproducibility

Abstract

The accuracy of measurement of temperature and particularly temperature distribution in current heated wires can be considerably improved by using semiconducting light‐sensitive resistors as a pyrometer. They feature almost exponential dependence of their resistivity on temperature of the hot wire and insensitivity against changes in ambient temperature.
