Abstract
Inelastic, electronic, collision cross section for the scattering of electrons of approximately 500‐V kinetic energy have been determined over the excitation energy range 10 to 80 V. Generalized oscillator strengths are calculated from the results and used to test the oscillator sum rule. Extrapolated oscillator strengths are compared with those calculated from ultraviolet absorption coefficients. Keywords
