Internal Treatment of Animals with Phenothiazine to Prevent Development of Horn Fly Larvae in the Manure

Abstract

In 3 cases phenothiazine administered to cattle at the rate of approximately 0.1 g. or less per kg. of body weight prevented development of horn fly (Hacmatobia irritans) larvae in manure eliminated by such animals.
