Abstract
The random-phase model for charge transport in the just-extended states of amorphous and liquid semiconductors is re-examined. Previously derived results for the electrical conductivity and Hall effect are obtained under the more physically plausible assumption that the phases of the local atomic-like wavefunc-tions are correlated over the phase correlation distance, but that phase differences of distinct pairs of sites are uncorrelated.
