Abstract
A group of 79 neurotic white and colored soldiers was compared with a screened normal group of 254 soldiers to determine intergroup differences in respect to likes and dislikes for 20 types of food; the groups were matched for age, race, education, Army test scores and state of origin. The avg. number of dislikes for neurotics was 5.14tagainst 1.23 for the normals, a statistically significant difference., When the foods were considered separately, a significantly larger % of the neurotics than of the normals disliked each food. When foods were arranged in order of aversion for each group, both normals and neurotics disliked the same foods. The reasons cited for aversion were very similar in both groups.
