The Effect of Leader-Member Interaction on Organizational Effectiveness

Abstract
The study reported in this paper provides a critical examination of Fiedler's contingency model of leadership effectiveness; it focuses on the differential impact of low, intermediate, and high LPC leaders in good and poor group atmosphere schools using as the criterion of school effectiveness, Stern's High School Characteristics Index. Likertes generalized model of the administrative process was considered as an alternative to Fiedler's model to explain the results.
