Abstract
The N content of 4 samples of acetone-treated, heat coagulated plasma proteins and 3 samples of "globulin" from 4 pools of human plasma derived from 67 normal persons was detd. by micro-Dumas and micro-Kjeldahl methods. The N for total plasma proteins had a range* 13.3-15.9% (mean 15.2%); for "globulin" the range was 13.5-15.1 (mean 14.3%). Fair correlation was obtained between gravimetric-ally detd. total plasma protein and values obtained by use of the factors 6.25 for plasma-N and 6.6 for protein-N. Suggestion is made that the plasma protein fractions be expressed as g. N/10O ml. of plasma. Keywords
