Debut and Accumulation of Centric Fusion Products: An Index to Age of Certain Cell Lines

Abstract
Fourteen cell lines derived from cattle (Bos taurus), sheep (Ovis arks), goat (Capra hircus) and dog (Canis familiaris) were studied at various passage levels and compared chromosomally. Of these lines, those derived from the three species of Bovidae showed a similar pattern in acquisition, maintenance and increase in numbers of unusual atelocentric chromosomes with passages in vitro, while the dog cell line appeared to follow a different pattern.
