Abstract
The multipolarity () dependence of the inelastic form factor for heavy-ion-induced excitations predicted by the folding model is confirmed in the analysis of the scattering of from and at 155 MeV. Agreement between the target deformation lengths () of these measurements and those from electromagnetic and proton experiments is found when the strongly -dependent folding-model form factor is employed.
