Abstract
A small polyurethane molding plant employing poor hygienic techniques in which a number of employees developed contact dermatitis was described. Three employees were examined; patch testing in 2 of these revealed positive reactions suggesting allergic sensitization to an aliphatic diisocyanate monomer [methylene bis (4-cyclohexylisocyanate)] and to the catalyst methylenedianiline [a potential carcinogen and hepatitis-inducing agent.].
