Abstract
An easy plane magnetic chain in a magnetic field is equivalent to a Sine-Gordon system. At low temperatures and moderate fields the dynamical behaviour of this system can be discussed in terms of magnons and solitons. Solitons are responsible for a zero frequency peak in the longitudinal part of the dynamic structure factor. They are thus observable in neutron scattering experiments. Keywords
