Abstract
This is a review of the psychiatric literature on acculturation and child development in Southeast Asian refugees. Each age group suffers somewhat differently from refugee experience, and these differences are described further. In addition, to aid the acculturation and developmental processes, treatment approaches are suggested. This article should be useful to pediatricians who care for refugee children and are unfamiliar with the psychiatric literature about refugees. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
