Abstract
Photons resulting from - collisions have been studied in order to determine which electronic states of the product C are formed. The , , and states are observed; relative intensities depend on kinetic energy. No emission is unambiguously attributable to CH. These results complement earlier kinematic studies, and represent the first system for which luminescence has been used to distinguish among states suggested by kinematic analyses of reactive collisions.
