Abstract
Expressions are derived for the disorder resistivity of binary rare earth alloys at temperatures above the magnetic transition point and at absolute zero. Only ferromagnetic alloys are considered. The treatment is based on a Nordheim approximation, extended to incorporate spin‐dependent scattering. The theoretical expressions are in satisfactory agreement with experimental data for Gd—Lu, Tb—Lu, Gd—Y and Gd—Er alloys. This publication has 30 references indexed in Scilit:
