Abstract
Seven cytotoxic 3-alkylpyridine alkaloids, hachijodines A-G, have been isolated from two marine sponges of the genera Xestospongia and Amphimedon. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectral data. These alkaloids are moderately cytotoxic against P388 murine leukemia cells with IC(50) values of 1.0-2.3 microg/mL.Keywords
