Abstract
A gravimetric Knudsen effusion technique has been developed to study the phase equilibria and thermodynamic properties of potassium—graphite lamellar compounds. Using this technique the existence of a C10K phase has been established and phase equilibria in the potassium—graphite, rubidium—graphite, and cesium—graphite systems are shown to be completely analogous. The trends in the heats of reaction of cesium—graphite, rubidium—graphite, and potassium—graphite compounds are discussed. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
